Who We Are
Our Weekly Walking Programme
You'll Never Walk Alone Volunteers (established in 2001) leads weekly walks in Prestatyn; it's free and available to everyone. All walks are graded from A-D, to denote the level of fitness or agility required, and they vary in length.
We currently have a weekly programme of 6 walks, plus a monthly walk. These vary in duration from 45-60 minutes (ideal for beginners), to 120-minute treks, ideal for the more seasoned walker.
Booklets outlining our weekly and monthly walks are published several times a year and are available from Prestatyn Town Council Offices on Nant Hall Road, Prestatyn, as well as several other locations within the local community.

Social Events and Community Engagement​
​
Socialising is a big part of the YNWA Volunteers community. Our walkers regularly get together for refreshments and a chat after our walks. There are also a variety of events held throughout the year - in recent months these have included pub meals, a day trip to the British Ironworks Centre in Oswestry, and our Open Day, which incorporated a raffle and fun quiz.

'Walkers Are Welcome' Accreditation
In 2007 Prestatyn was the first town in Wales to officially receive ‘Walkers Are Welcome’ status. ​The variety of walking routes, bustling high street and a welcoming community make Prestatyn and Meliden ideal locations for walkers of all abilities and interests. The Wales Coast Path follows the shoreline and is the start/end of the 176 mile Offa’s Dyke Path, which links Prestatyn with Chepstow on the Severn Estuary.

Annual Walking Festival

We are also proud to be associated with Prestatyn & Clwydian range Walking Festival, a three-day event held annually in May, which features several walks led by YNWA Volunteers walk leaders.
